iPhone 6, here we come: Apple's September event is official
Hold on to your hats: just as we expected, Apple’s gone and officially made 10 September as the date for its next big event, where we expect to see the unveiling of the next iPhone, and the company’s hoping to ‘brighten everyone’s day’ with what’s on show. Are you ready for Apple’s next big thing?
Apple has sent out brightly coloured invitations asking journalists to attend an event at Apple’s Cupertino HQ in California, where the company is expected to reveal the all-new iPhone – while the assortment of bright hues on the invite match up with leaks of the rumoured budget iPhone 5C, which we could also be seeing revealed on stage at the same time.
Along with the new iPhones, we’re expecting to see the public launch of the overhauled iOS 7, which has been in the hands of many beta testers since it was announced back in June. Unusually, Apple has also confirmed an event will be taking place in Shanghai, China the next day which could also signal the launch of the plastic-backed cheaper iPhone in the East.
Will we be seeing the iPhone 5C in the UK as well? We’ll find out soon: the whole event kicks off at 6pm our time, and we know you can’t wait to see what Apple has in store, and we can’t either – we’ll be bringing you the latest news as it happens right on the day.
