1st PolicyNG Essay Challenge for Nigerians

ELIGIBILITY: The competition is open to Nigerians aged 15 – 25 (extendable to 28)

RULES AND REGULATIONS:

Guidelines:

• Download and study the Nigeria’s National Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Policy. Download HERE (Via PolicyNG.Com) or directly.
• Write a detailed and objective analysis of the policy and make relevant recommendations.
• Entries must not be more than 1200 words.
• Send your properly edited entry as a Microsoft Word document (attached) to:info@policyng.com on or before 10^th September 2013.
• Use “#PolicyNG Policy Analysis Essay Competition” as the e-mail subject and include your full name, e-mail address, telephone number and twitter handle (if any) in the body of the mail.
• Shortlisted entries will be announced and published on PolicyNG.com on the 15^thSeptember 2013 while the winning entries will be announced on 20^th September 2013.

 Entries will be judged based on the following;

(1)   Objective engagements of case studies from other nations that have successfully implemented their Information Technology policy.

(2)   Engagement of relevant and very recent facts and statistics.

(3)   Quality of writing, use of language and proper editing of submission.

(4)   Quality of recommendations.

PRIZE:

Shortlisted entries will be published on PolicyNG.com

-          Two winning entries (the winner and the runner-up) to win N50000 and N20000 respectively from PolicyNG.com

-          And winner also gets all-expenses paid trip to join PIN's ICT Policy Advocacy Visit to Abuja in November 2013.
