A forensic specialist at the Morbid Anatomy Department, University of Benin Teaching Hospital, Dr. Ralph Omojefe, his three children, cousin and uncle died on Wednesday in a road crash around Okada junction, Ovia Local Government Area, along the Benin-Ore Expressway.

The victims were said to be on their way from Lagos when the accident occurred.
It was gathered that the late Omojefe and his family members had accompanied a younger sister, who was on her way to the US, to Lagos and were on their way back to Benin when the accident happened.
The President, UBTH chapter of the Association of Resident Doctors, Kingsley Okafor, who confirmed the incident, said he had visited the family and that the late Omojefe’s wife had been taken to their village in Delta State.

Okafor said the association had declared a seven-day mourning during which period members were to wear black armband.
He said, “We will observe a minute silence everyday before any clinic session.”
As of the time of filing this report, officials of the Federal Roads Safety Commission said they had yet to get the details on the accident.

Really very sad news! You never know when or where a car accident will happen, especially to you. And when they do occur, even without significant damages, deaths, or injury.
