Flexible Tablets
It seems like tablets are just finally catching on, but it won't be long before flexible tablets take over. Plastic Logic and a few other companies are working on flexible displays with touchscreen controls. These special tablets are bendable and lightweight, which could spell the end of traditional newspapers and magazines.‹›
Invisibility Cloaks
Humans have always dreamed of the ability to be invisible, and technology is close to making that dream a reality. A company called Hyperstealth claims to have created a technology called Quantum Stealth that bends light, but most people assume it's a hoax. However, Dr. Susumu Tachi has created a working prototype using a special material and a projector to create near-invisibility from one angle.

Nano Air Vehicles
The military's current remote-controlled drones are amazing technology, but drones are quickly becoming smaller and sneakier than before. These tiny surveilance drones are called nano air vechicles. A hummingbird-shaped drone already exists, and there are plans to create insect-sized ones in the future.‹›
Brain Control Interfaces
Moving objects with our minds still seems like something out of science fiction, but it's quickly becoming a reality. Basic mind-controlled computer programs already exist that allow the user to control robotic devices and even type. It won't be long before we're able to control many electronic devices with our thoughts.‹›
Driverless Cars
Google has been developing a car that drives itself, and it actually works really well! These amazing vehicles use GPS and a system of high-tech sensors to drive at the speed limit and avoid collisions. A few states are starting to legalize these vehicles, but it could a decade or more before driverless cars are sold to the public‹›
Cyborgs
Scientists have already developed robotic prosthetic limbs that are completely controllable by an amputee's mind, just like a real arm. This is just the first step in the process to creating real-life cyborgs. Dmitry Itskov, a Russian billionaire, is funding a project to make humans immortal using robotic "avatars." The project has four stages and is set to be complete by 2045.‹›
Artificial Trees
Artificial trees might not be as visually appealing as the real thing, but they would solve a huge problem. A company called Global Research Technologies is working on an artificial tree design that removes carbon dioxide from the air and stores it to be used for other purposes. About 250,000 of these are needed around the world to negate our current CO2 output.‹›
4D Printing
You've probably heard of 3D printing, but how about 4D printing? This new concept involves creating materials that change shape automatically. A man named Skylar Tibbits is proposing the idea that specially constructed materials could assemble or repair themselves. The earliest prototypes of 4D printing form complex shapes when water is applied.‹›
Reusable Rockets
Space travel is usually all about going up really fast at any cost, but the SpaceX Grasshopper changes all that. This inventive rocket will act as a reusable booster for space missions that has the ability to move sideways. Instead of burning up in the atmosphere or crashing into the ocean, it can land right back at the launch pad! In the near future, this could greatly reduce the cost of space missions.FOR MOBILE USERS!! are you tired of high rate of consumption of your data?
