BREAKING NEWS: SSS FOIL KIDNAP OF LATE PRESIDENT YARADUA’S DAUGHTER
The State Security Service (SSS), said it thwarted a plan to kidnap one of the daughters of late President Umaru Musa Yaradua.
The SSS spokesperson said, “The Service acting on actionable intelligence nullified the plot before it was actualized, and both Hamza Abubakar and other collaborators shall be charged to court soon.”
She refused to give the name of the target for the kidnap, saying that it would compromise the person’s security.
Marilyn said the suspects were arrested on the 21st of August as they perfected plans to kidnap the daughter of the late President at a construction site in Kado estate, Abuja.
She further said, “Hamza cultivated friendship with one Abu Katsina, a guard at the lady’s construction site. This afforded him leverage to visit the area regularly.
Having obtained sufficient information on the lady, he contacted Denis, who was in Owerri at the time. Both Denis and Hamza co-opted; Daddy Mohammed, Isa Keteri, Masaudu Kateri and IK (full name not known).”
The SSS also paraded 65 year old Elias Adams arrested for passing himself off as retired Nigerian Army General Abubakar Sani. He is also accused to have posed as a Special Adviser adviser to the President on defence.
Elias Adams is also accused to have claimed to be a coordinating member of the National Committee on Flood Relief and Rehabilation.
The SSS said investigations revealed that, Elias told officials of the Pipelines and Products Marketing Company (PPMC) that he was directed by the Presidential Villa to facilitate the speedy supply of Dual Purpose Kerosene (DPK), through certain marketers located around flooded parts of the country.
