2 DIE AS TWO BUILDINGS COLLAPSE IN LAGOS

Two persons have died and 10 others seriously injured as two buildings collapse on Lagos Island, Lagos.

A three-storey building on No.15 Alli Street collapsed around 11.00 pm on Wednesday and fell on a bungalow on No.13 of the same street,
leading to its collapse.

Reason for the collapse has not been ascertained but it is suspected that the three-storey building may be distressed as hundreds of distressed buildings have been unraveled on Lagos Island.

Officials of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, (LASEMA) and the Lagos State Fire Service were on ground at present at the site on rescue operation.

Our reporter can report that in the last nine months, over 10 buildings have collapsed in Lagos, with Lagos Island topping the list
of collapse buildings.
