Liverpool transfer news: Featuring Willian favourites and Siqueira

Anzhi V Liverpool

Liverpool are considered the favourites to sign Anzhi Makhachkala winger Willian this summer. The Brazilian only signed for the Russian outfit in the January transfer window for a whopping fee.
However the Dagestan club are now ready to completely change their strategy off the pitch - including a drastic overhaul of the clubs finances and current views regarding the place of foreign stars in their team.

But Liverpool are now the favourites for his signature, after these words from Willian yesterday:Willian is expected to be one of the first to go, and Chelsea and Spurs are also said to hold a vested interest in the player.
‘’Now I'm waiting for a new bid to arrive in the next days from a few clubs, like Liverpool. If it's really Liverpool, then it is surely a great club. I'm hopeful and very calm, just waiting for the best.’’
"I know some clubs have talked with my agent about the money, but he hasn't told me anything. He only said that he had conversations with some clubs, and he also didn't tell me which clubs."
Brendan Rodgers has refused to talk on the future of Luis Suarez in pre-match press conferences.
It’s very simple. So much has been written and said about Luis this summer, but our position has not changed... so I won’t speak about Luis again until he is available for selection.
"There is nothing to be said that hasn’t already been said and I’m sure people are fed up listening and reading about it.
“My only concentration is the players who are available. They’ve worked tirelessly and, purely out of respect for them and the work that has gone on, I only want to talk about them.”
Liverpool are set to prioritise a move for Granada’s Brazilian Guilherme Siquiera - after interest in Aly Cissokho dried up.
The Valencia player is expected to join Sunderland now - so The Reds are set to fight Real Madrid for the talented Brazilian.
Finally, and Stewart Downing cannot believe how quickly Brendan Rodgers accepted a bid from West Ham United.
Downing joined The Hammers yesterday for £6 million.
"The manager said he wanted me to stay. So I’m disappointed that one minute I was in the starting XI and the next I’m gone"
