Genevieve Nnaji Tops 2013 Africa’s Most Powerful Actresses List

Nigerian actress Genevieve Nnaji is gradually following the footstep of her colleague Omotola Jalade who was listed among Time Magazine’s 100 most influential people in the world few months back.

Genevieve Nnaji was featured among the superstars in the latest edition of Elle Magazine that was published yesterday August 21st, 2012.

Here is what the popular celebrity magazine wrote about Genevieve Nnaji’s achievement:

‘One of the most powerful actresses working in Africa, Nnaji began her career at age eight, and has been constantly working in commercials and movies ever since. She’s credited with putting Nollywood, Nigeria’s Hollywood, on the map. In 2005 she was awarded Best Actress at the inaugural African Movie Academy Awards (AMAA), and used her fame to launch her clothing line, St. Genevieve, in 2008 with the proceeds from sales supporting orphanages.
