The 22-year-old's debut season at Stamford Bridge saw him feature predominantly off the substitutes bench, firstly under Roberto Di Matteo and then Rafa Benitez.

But the Nigeria international could be set for a bigger role under Mourinho after setting up three goals in friendly wins over Inter and AC Milan.

"Victor [Moses] has been terrific, [he is] working very hard," Mourinho rold reporters.

"In his position we have Eden Hazard, Kevin De Bruyne and Andre Schurrle, and with Victor we can change during a match and give new life to the team."

Moses made 44 appearances for Chelsea in all competitions last season after joining from Wigan in August 2012, but only managed to score one goal league goal for the club.

The Nigeria international has impressed in pre-season, setting up three goals against Inter and AC Milan, and could be set for a bigger role in the 2013-14 campaign
