Barca make Luiz bid

Barcelona have reportedly made a €25-million bid for Chelsea defender David Luiz.

The Spanish champions have added Neymar to their roster ahead of the new La Liga season, but have been frustrated in attempts to strengthen at the back.

They have missed out on Brazilian duo Marquinhos and Thiago Silva, and have now targeted a third Selecao defender in the shape of Luiz.

If Barcelona miss out on Luiz, it is thought they will turn their attention to Liverpool’s Danish centre-back Daniel Agger.
